Competition Time.

As you may know, just over a week ago I went to an event at French Connection's Manchester store and took part in their 'Style Challenge'.
Now, if you liked any of the clothes on my blog post or if you're like me and have been lovingly browsing through their website, filling up your 'shopping bag' before begrudgingly waking up to the realisation that you can't quite justify buying every outfit from their new collection then this might be of interest...

I've teamed up with the guys at French Connection to offer you the chance of winning £100 to spend in one of their stores.
Sounds good, right?

To be in with a shot at getting your hands on a voucher all you have to do is Tweet/Instagram a photo of yourself in your favourite outfit. Make sure you use the hashtag #fcbloggerstyle so we can find your pictures and just like that you'll be entered. Simple!

You have until the 15th October to get hashtagging and soon after the three lucky winners will be announced and £100 worth of vouchers will be heading their way.

Remember, the winners will be whoever we believe is the most stylish so don't hold back, get uploading!

If you're not already convinced to enter I'm sure just looking at a few pieces from their collection below will provide a bit of motivation...

Dream team...

The first images of Isabel Marant's collection for H&M have finally been released and I can safely say they have not disappointed.
The prospect of finally being able to afford something designed by Marant is pretty exciting, however, the prospect of waiting until they arrive in stores in November 2014 is going to be all the more torturous now I've had a glimpse of what's to come.
Forget about Christmas, I'm more interested in what's going to happen when I can get my hands on the collection created when one of my favourite designers teamed up with one of my favourite shops.
I don't know about you, but I've already started making my wishlist...

French Connection's Style Challenge...

Sooo last night I was fortunate enough to get an invite to French Connection's in-store #StyleChallenge, taking place in 27 of their stores across the UK.
Like kids in a candy store we were allowed free reign of the shop, greeted with tasty ginger beer and Mahiki cocktails we then had to choose our favorite pieces from their new collection before making our way to the photo area to get snapped in our carefully styled outfits of choice.
It's safe to say that if I could of taken home every item I laid my eyes upon I would of happily done it, from fedora hats to crisp white shirts, I wanted it all.
They'll soon be uploading all of their pictures to the French Connection Facebook page and from what I understand it's then down to the public to vote for their favorite outfits...
Exciting stuff!
In my opinion Manchester was definitely the most stylish store ;)
Finished off with a dreamy goody bag I can safely say as soon as payday arrives I'll be found at the till in French Connection.

P.S....
I even made it onto their Instagram page, take a peep...

New York Fashion Week

It's fashion's favourite time of year which means that the world's most stylish are out in force.
As my camera has unfortunately gone past the point of no return and has sadly taken its final photos I decided to cheer myself up by checking out the latest snaps from New York Fashion Week. I can safely say I ended up with some serious outfit envy...

Bags of Style.

Since the age of about 12 I've loved Topshop. It may be 'mainstream' and you can almost guarantee that you'll see someone in the same top/skirt/trousers as you but they never disappoint.
After spending hours of my time in their stores and having visited Topshops everywhere, from London to St. Helens, I've always noticed that they hire a certain type of person.
Forget about the CV, it's all about style and just taking a glimpse into the wardrobes of their Personal Shoppers shows why they've got the credentials to be Topshop girls...

Playing Catch-Up

Sooo the past couple of weeks have been pretty jam packed. As I mentioned, since spending a lovely Bank Holiday in London I've moved house.
Trying to juggle unpacking all my belongings whilst working everyday was a slow process but I'm almost there.
The photos above kind of summarise the last couple of weeks - from my passport photo for my new tram pass to some much needed doses of retail therapy mixed with a lot of eating out.
My recommendation of the week has got to be Ackbar's Indian in Manchester (they've also got them in various other cities across the UK so if there's one near you go go go!). We had to wait about half an hour for a table but it was 100% worth it, and as you can see from the photos, even the naan breads were impressive!
The photo of the boots was taken in Miss Selfridge - definitely made their way on to my winter wardrobe wish list! My favorite part of the changing seasons is probably the excuse to get some new sturdy boots and a winter coat so I've been on the look out lately for some nice ones.
I also fell in love with H&M's Autumn/Winter collection. Neutral colours, shearling jackets and chunky knits - want, want, want.

I will do a post on my new home asap!
I hope you've all had a good weekend.

Beauty.

My lack of blogging this week has been down to a combination of work and settling in to my new house.
I will be back on track by the weekend but for now here's a picture I found on Pinterest of Kate Bosworth looking pretty perfect...

Lazy days...

Shirt - Vintage, Leggings - Topshop, Boots - Topshop, Watch - Michael Kors

I would like to introduce you to my own little roof terrace!
Choosing rooms when you move into a new house is always tricky business. I've moved in with 3 other girls and seeing as we were all living in different parts of the country we decided the fairest way to pick would be the fail-safe option of drawing names from a hat.
As geographically it wasn't that easy my housemate Judith had the job of picking and filmed it for us to watch.
I was lucky enough to land the room with it's own terrace.
Now all we need is the sunshine back and I can open a little cocktail bar from the comfort of my own room!
