London Fashion Week

Work has been mad busy lately, hence my lack of blogging!
I've also been trying to save a few pennies for my upcoming trip to Vietnam so any form of retail therapy has been kept to a bare minimum and I've therefore had no shiny new clothes to share with you (sob!).
However, any spare moment I've had has been spent catching up with the goings on of Fashion Week - probably not the best thing to look at when you're trying your hardest not to indulge in a few new outfits.
After drooling over the AW14 collections I always find myself spending hours admiring the street style on offer.
If you want to find a city's most stylish then Fashion Week is the place to do it, from off duty models in their uniform of skinny jeans and chunky knits, to extravagantly dressed attendees, here's a few of my favourites from London...

Florals.

Okay, okay, it may not quite be warm enough to start whipping my legs out yet but Sunday's sunshine provided the perfect opportunity to road test my new dress.

At a mediocre 5 feet and 4 inches I often struggle to find dresses of a good length and often find mini dresses looking more along the lines of midi dresses so as soon as I tried this pretty little number on in the changing rooms it dawned on me that I couldn't really put it back onto the rails.
(A good hemline isn't something I comeby often!)

The long sleeves and mottled print make it the perfect piece for the transition from Winter to Spring, and I'm pretty sure it could work equally as well for a day of shopping or a night out.
The way this post is going it seems that I could sing its praises all day, but I wouldn't want to bore you so all I'll say is H&M £34.99.
Get it.

Sunday blues.

Hat - Primark
Top - Vintage
Trousers - H&M
Shoes - Topshop

Sundays and I have a love hate relationship, today I've had a lie-in, been out for an epic Sunday lunch with some old school friends, made a batch of soup for next week's lunch and finished it all off with a plate of sticky toffee pudding and ice-cream. Sounds like a pretty good day, right?
However, the later it gets the more the Sunday night blues kick in. The thought of waking up at 7am tomorrow morning for work is not something I find particularly pleasant.
So, rather than lying in bed feeling sorry for myself I thought I'd do a quick post on some recent purchases.

On Saturday I took a quick trip to the Trafford Centre and came home with these new H&M trousers and Topshop boots.
I'm a sucker for a tailored trouser and this pair caught my eye as soon as I went into the shop, at £24.99 I really couldn't resist.
Funnily enough I also have a weakness for black wedges - they go with everything and they don't leave your feet in pain after a night out, what's not to love?!
So when I spotted this pair for £40 in the sale I swiftly found myself at the checkout.
All-in-all I hope you'd agree that it was a pretty successful shopping trip.
Now, time to get some shut-eye...

Hope you had a good weekend.
